Different Types Of Table Saw: Pros. & Cons.

Different types of table saws include band, cabinet, and circular types. The most popular by far is the circular style because it cuts through boards with a lot less effort compared to other types.

This is why most carpenters prefer this type of saw over others; they are also more precise compared to other types.  Other types cater to specific needs for example, if you are planning on cutting only long lengths then a stationary table saw is best used for that purpose; while shorter boards would be perfect for use in portables or transportable ones.

Sliding types – this kind is designed for heavy duty work. They’re larger than most types; hence its weight for greater stability. In addition, it features aluminum fence rails that adjust easily (and are also detachable) while having zero play at all times. The miter gauge slides on an aluminum insert while using Teflon friction pads instead of ball bearings for smooth movement without any friction or binding

Contractor types – also known as “jobsite types” because they’re usually used for heavy purposes.
